Sony Alpha DSLR Line

Friday, May 12, 2006

Sony is letting out information about their new line of DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras that will hopefully be available for a summer release. Sony is attempting to become the master of their craft with this new camera line. While few details are actually available, there is a lot of speculation about how good these cameras will actually be.

Although they are a latecomer in the DSLR market, they intend to make a product that will be worthy of their late entrance. The cameras will be compatible with over 16 million lenses that have been sold up to this point, they intend on being a leader in innovation, and are looking to make continual improvements on the body. However, they say that lenses are typically long-term assets and they are committed to building fine quality lenses.

Sony may have what it takes to enter the digital slr market, but we will see what they do in the near future. Look for more information on the Sony Alpha DSLR line in the near future on Camera Lineup!
